Windows 10 supports the unique feature of changing the default language. If you want to use a different language, you can change it at any time.

Steps to install a Language in Windows 10

  1. Create an administrative account and log in to Windows 10.
  2. Go to “Start Menu” and go to “Settings” and then select “Time & Language” option.

  1. Select “Region & language” and then click “Add a language”.

  1. A new window will open which you show you the languages available. Select the language you want, the downloading will start.

  1. Now go back to the “Time & Language” screen. Then select the language you have just installed. You’ll see three options available for you: “Set as default”, “Options”, “Remove”. You need to click the download button Under “Options” to download the language pack and keyboard for the particular language.

  1. Once you open “Control Panel > Languages”, you’ll find the traditional settings.

How to change the language of Welcome Screen and New User Accounts

You need to at least install an additional language pack, and you must have one user account using a different display language other than the default installed language.

To do the change, follow this step:

  1. You need to Open the “Control Panel > Region”.

  1. Then you need to select the “Administrative” tab and click on to “Copy settings”.

On the screen above, you can copy the current language you are using (you need to make sure that the language you want to use everywhere should be selected) to the system account which will change your language. You also have the option to set it as default for new users. Once you are finished with setting the language, restart your computer.
