How To Fix LG G3 Overheating Issue

Equipped with powerful Snapdragon 801 CPU, a Quad HD display and 3 GB RAM LG G3 is considerably one of the best Smartphone that came to market of Smartphone ever. Though this set is almost perfect but already some users started complaining about some glitches and LG G3 overheating is the most common of that. Many users have experienced this LG G3 overheating issue. There are various things that can cause the issue but in case you are using a bigger app and facing this overheating issue, then this is quite normal as long as it does not have any consequence on the phone’s performance.

However, there are some useful fixes to get rid of the issue. These are explained below.

Upgrade to the latest OS:

The first advice is to update the android OS version. In case any bug is creating this issue, it will be resolved after the OS up gradation.

Lower the brightness

Lower the brightness and make the temperature down up to 20 degree Celsius. Do it manually. Auto brightness feature can also be enabled, what happen in this case is the device reduces the brightness automatically if the LG G3 device gets too hot.

Factory reset

There might be some apps installed in the device acting as the source of this overheating issue. If you are not sure about the app that is actually heating your LG G3 in an unnatural way, the best solution is to perform a factory reset. But do not forget to back up your android device as factory reset will lose all the data.

  • Head towards settings from the home screen of your device.
  • Tap on ‘General’.
  • Select ‘Back up & Reset’ and tap on ‘Factory data reset’ option next.
  • Tap on ‘Reset phone’ and when it will ask for confirmation, choose ‘erase everything’ and all the data and apps from LG G3 will be deleted.

Now install the apps again but be bit careful to avoid the same issue.

Check the battery and replace it

Sometimes a faulty battery can be the cause of this overheating issue. So, try using the battery in another LG G3 set and see if the same issue exists. If you find it faulty, replace the battery.

So, try the above tips one by one and definitely you will get rid of the issue.
