Based on positive customer response and strong pre-orders, Apple predicts that iPhone 6 will set a new first-weekend sales record.
The tech giant said that iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, which were unveiled last week, are on track to beat last year’s first weekend sales record. The company sold 10 million phones last year within three days of its sales launch.
“Customer response to iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus has been extremely positive and preorders this weekend were very strong around the world. We are on pace to beat last year’s 10 million unit first-weekend record when the new iPhones go on sale Sept. 25,” Apple said in a statement.
Powered by A9 chip, Apple’s latest iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus smartphones have amazing features such as 3D touch technology and Live Photo. The phones have a 12 megapixels main camera, with a 5 megapixels front camera for taking selfies. Users can also record videos in Ultra HD.
Offered in old, silver, space gray, and rose gold metallic colors, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be available from Sept. 25.
