The latest windows phone from Microsoft, Lumia 650 has come with various improved features but the most exciting thing about this latest introduction is the price of it. The price is not very low though but as the price is compared with other devices like Lumia 950 or 950 XL, it is considerably less while still it looks like a million dollar device. Packed with an aluminum frame and 5 inch OLED screen this Lumia 650 is priced at $200 but the Australian pricing is not yet confirmed.
Lumia 950 and 950 XL are both the high end devices with plastic casing but the latest version is a pure mid range device even though the plastic back is replaced here. The addition of microSD card slot and removable battery are really appreciative as both are highly needed these days. The specification of Lumia 650 is here:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad core processor
- RAM 1 GB
- 16GB storage that is extendable up to 200 GB using microSD card
- 2000 mAH battery
- 5 inch OLED display of 1,280×720 resolution
- 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera
But the most important thing which is missing from this set is ‘Continuum’. This feature is really helpful to allow users PC like experience when the device is being connected with a bigger screen. Continuum is present on every windows 10 device but unfortunately, Lumia 650 will not support this feature.
So, this could be a better option for the first time windows phone users but if you are looking for a business oriented device, this is unfortunately not the one for that purpose. The device is still not available on US and the Australian pricing and launch date will be shared soon by Microsoft.
