Amongst all the tech companies, Samsung has the most comprehensive and critically acclaimed VR development program. The Korean based tech company made its debut in the VR market in 2014 with its Innovator edition device. The device did not receive much success but it paved the way for the company to enter in the newly developing VR market.
The company finally made a huge impact in November 2015 with the launch of a commercially available VR device. Although the device failed to make any firm sales in the market it received a lot of critical acclaim from the tech gurus across the world. Despite the expected launch of several other VR devices from companies such as Google, Sony and HTC, Samsung’s VR device is going to be the most accessible device for the majority of the smartphone consumers in the market.
Facebook would be debuting its VR device in March while HTC and Sony are expected to launch in April. These devices would be a lot different from the Samsung’s VR, which primarily relies on a smartphone to function. The Sony’s VR is expected to deliver the most powerful and sound VR experience. But the cost vise these devices are expected to cost nearly $1000 while Samsung’s VR is far cheaper.
Many tech experts believe that the Samsung’s VR would complement the upcoming devices rather than compete with them because all of these devices would concentrate on providing a full-fledged VR experience while Samsung’s is intended to provide its smartphone users with an exciting way to experience their devices.
