Destiny 2: Heresy Takes a New Spin on the Dreadnaught Experience!

When Destiny 2: Heresy launches on February 4, players will be returning to the Dreadnaught, the iconic Hive ship that has been left adrift since the Taken King expansion. However, this time, the Dreadnaught has undergone significant transformations.

According to Nikko Stevens, Destiny 2’s Narrative Architect, the Dreadnaught’s reawakening brings fresh combat experiences. "We finally get to see what has become of the Dreadnaught years after Oryx was felled," he shared in a feature on PlayStation’s official site. The mission task for players will involve combating the overwhelming corruption that has taken over the ship.

One new activity introduced in this mission is called The Nether, where players must disable the ship’s internal weapon systems to halt the spreading corruption. The dynamic will be further complicated with boons that can influence both players and enemies, altering the balance of power.

Moreover, Destiny 2: Heresy will debut alongside an exciting crossover with Star Wars, introducing thematic gear inspired by formidable characters such as Death Troopers and Imperial Guards. This collaboration is the latest in a series of crossovers, which have included themes from various franchises such as The Witcher, Mass Effect, and Assassin’s Creed. Bungie has also teased a new dungeon titled Sundered Doctrine, and they are inviting the most skilled players to compete in a race to complete it first.
