Beyond Hollow Knight: Silksong – Don’t Miss These Exciting Game Releases Today!

Hollow Knight: Silksong has garnered significant attention, often compared to the highly anticipated GTA6 in the indie game scene. As if that weren’t enough, the release has caused other games to shy away from competing for attention on the same day. However, multiple notable titles are also launching today that deserve recognition.

On September 4, 2025, players can check out several exciting releases alongside Hollow Knight: Silksong:

  • Adventure of Samsara: A Metroidvania-style game featuring captivating pixel art where players control a little character equipped with a sword.

  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: This DLC titled "The Order of the Giants" expands upon the intriguing storyline hinted at in the original game.

  • Hell is Us: Set in a war-torn setting, this third-person action game incorporates souls-like elements, leading players on a quest to uncover the mystery of their own past.

  • NBA 2K26: A release that likely won’t be overshadowed by Hollow Knight, given the limited overlap between basketball fans and Metroidvania enthusiasts.

  • Jetrunner: With its stylish aesthetics, this first-person parkour game features vibrant cel-shaded visuals.

Additionally, other games such as the Switch 2 port of Star Wars: Outlaws, Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots, and the Apple Arcade exclusive NFL Retro Bowl ’26 are making their debut today.

For those titles that opted to avoid this heavily trafficked release date, Moros Protocol and Megabonk have both moved to September 18. Meanwhile, Baby Steps and Demonschool have adjusted their releases to September 23, with the developers acknowledging the importance of visibility in a crowded gaming marketplace.

Hollow Knight: Silksong has launched to overwhelmingly positive feedback and has reportedly caused server issues for Steam and the Nintendo eShop, even affecting Game Pass services. It peaked at 535,000 concurrent players on Steam, ranking it with heavyweights like Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2.
