Defying Physics: How the Skate Glitch Lets You Cheat Gravity with a Clap

The recently reintroduced Skate franchise has players exploring the city of San Vansterdam free of charge after a hiatus of 15 years. Within the game, a notable glitch has emerged, enabling players to slow their descent dramatically while falling by using an emote.

A Reddit user, known as SurWesley, posted a video showcasing this trick after jumping off a location known as M-Corp. To successfully execute this maneuver, players must press and hold the emote button while they are falling. SurWesley also mentioned that the Third Eye emote might trigger a similar effect.

Concerns that this glitch may be addressed in a future update exist, but since it doesn’t disrupt gameplay significantly, it might be kept as part of the game’s features.

Skate allows for the exploration of four vast neighborhoods that have been transformed into large skate parks, following M-Corp’s abandonment of the city. The game has already attracted a large audience, boasting over 78,000 concurrent players on Steam. In response to this surge, EA has implemented server queues for a better gaming experience.

For those looking for ideal settings to enjoy Skate as if it were one of the classic titles, certain configurations have been recommended. Additionally, players can turn off the game narrator, Vee, for a tailored experience.

Skate is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
