Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently expressed his enthusiasm for Google’s AI image generator, specifically its feature called Nano Banana. At a press event in London, Huang excitedly proclaimed, "How could anyone not love Nano Banana? It’s so good!" His admiration for the tool, which allows precise edits to AI-generated images while preserving details of faces and other elements, comes after its recent launch in August. This feature has quickly gained popularity, resulting in a spike of 300 million images generated in September alone.
Huang’s visit follows Nvidia’s announcement of a substantial investment in the UK’s tech scene. He emphasized the UK’s historical contributions to technology and innovation, highlighting the nation’s "too humble" approach to its potential. He noted the country’s achievements from the industrial revolution to contemporary advancements in AI, referencing DeepMind as a key player.
Recently, Nvidia announced a $683 million equity investment in Nscale, aiming to enhance data center infrastructure in the UK. Huang estimated this initiative could yield over $68 billion in revenue over the next six years.
Huang also discussed his personal use of AI tools, stating that they significantly enhance his workflows. "AI has improved my learning, my thinking, and my efficiency," he said. He mentioned that he utilizes various AI programs for different tasks, choosing between Gemini for technical work, Grok for artistic endeavors, and ChatGPT for everyday use.
Ultimately, Huang reiterated the importance of democratizing AI technology, asserting that it offers the greatest opportunity to bridge the technology divide, making advanced tools accessible to all.
