Borderlands 4 recently launched a notable update that enhances the gaming experience with quality-of-life fixes alongside the introduction of a Halloween event, titled "Horrors of Kairos." This limited-time event allows players to earn two new Legendary weapons: the Legendary Order Grenade and the Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle. The event spans from October 23 to November 6, during which the game’s atmosphere shifts to a spooky theme, complete with "terror-inducing blood rain" during boss fights.
Players can obtain these new weapons by defeating World Bosses. The Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle, known as “Murmur,” guarantees critical hits on any enemy under 35% health, while the “Skully” Legendary Order Grenade home in on the nearest target before exploding.
In addition to the event, Gearbox addressed technical issues with the new patch, especially for PC players using NVIDIA GeForce hardware, advising them to update their drivers to avoid crashes. The latest sales figures for Borderlands 4 indicate that it achieved the largest launch in the franchise’s history, driving the series closer to the significant milestone of 100 million total sales.
Looking ahead, Gearbox will release the first downloadable content (DLC) for Borderlands 4 on November 20. However, the anticipated Switch 2 port has been delayed indefinitely.
