PowerA is launching two new models of its Fusion Pro controller for Xbox consoles and PC. The new Fusion Pro Wireless and Fusion Pro 4 wired gamepads are licensed by Microsoft, and feature Hall Effect thumbsticks and triggers, remappable back buttons, and more. Both controllers have built-in height-adjustable analog sticks. The Fusion Pro Wireless is available to preorder now for $150 at Amazon ahead of its September 24 release, and the Fusion Pro 4 Wired is available now at Amazon for $70.

The prolific accessory manufacturer is making a big push in the pro-style controller market this year. The new Fusion Pro Wireless isn’t the only upcoming wireless controller with customizable features for Xbox. PowerA is also releasing a Fortnite-themed wireless Xbox controller that sports many of the same features as the new Fusion Pro Wireless. You’ll lose out on the Lumectra RGB lighting and unique analog stick customization features, but it’s $50 cheaper than the Fusion Pro Wireless and comes with the Tooth Pickaxe in-game item for Fortnite. You can preorder PowerA’s Fortnite Special-Edition Wireless Controller for Xbox and PC for $100 at Amazon before it launches on October 1.

Amazon has begun delivering PowerA’s latest OPS V3 Pro Wireless Controller, a device we consider to be a standout pro-style controller, especially given its affordable price of $100, according to a review from GameSpot.

The Fusion Pro Wireless Controller is equipped with Lumectra RGB lighting. This wireless iteration of PowerA’s Fusion Pro controller incorporates what they call Lumectra “hidden” RGB lighting elements embedded throughout the controller’s body.

Beyond the aesthetic RGB lighting, the Fusion Pro Wireless shares several features with its wired counterpart, such as Hall Effect triggers, dual rumble motors, and four programmable back buttons. It also includes PowerA’s innovative Quick-Twist sticks which allow for the adjustment of the analog sticks’ height in real-time. Users can secure these sticks at three varying heights, a feature that is particularly effective on the OPS V3 Pro model.

The controller connects to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via a 2.4GHz USB dongle that ensures a low-latency connection, and it comes with a lengthy 10-foot USB-C cable along with a charging stand to help keep the battery charged during breaks.

The Fusion Pro Wireless controller offers personalization options through the PowerA HQ app, allowing users to configure Lumectra RGB lighting, adjust analog stick dead zones, modify rumble intensity, set trigger sensitivity, and other preferences.

Preorders for the Fusion Pro Wireless with Lumectra RGB are open for $150 with its release scheduled for next week. The OPS V3 Pro Wireless Controller aimed at PC users, available for preorder at Amazon, mirrors many functionalities of the Fusion Pro, such as the Quick-Twist sticks for adjustable thumbstick heights; however, it lacks the RGB lighting and is not compatible with Xbox. In contrast, the Fortnite Special Edition Wireless Controller for PC and Xbox, also on Amazon, encompasses similar features but does not include the Quick-Twist sticks or lighting.

The Fusion Pro 4 evolves from its predecessor as PowerA’s enhanced wired controller for Xbox and Windows platforms, prominently featuring Hall Effect triggers and sticks with Quick-Twist technology. This version notably advances with these upgrades and introduces practical modifications like four programmable back buttons and a rubberized grip for better handling.

This device ensures robust connectivity with Xbox Series X|S or PC using a 10-foot braided USB-C cable provided in the package and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio solutions.

The Fusion Pro 3 featured swappable sticks, a characteristic now replaced in the Fusion Pro 4 with Quick-Twist sticks. The previous model offered a variety of thumbstick cap options—including short sticks with concave caps and tall sticks with both concave and convex caps—which are no longer available. However, the new Quick-Twist sticks in the Fusion Pro 4 incorporate Hall Effect technology to counteract stick drift and allow adjustment into three distinct positions, indicating a worthwhile enhancement overall.

The Fusion Pro 4 is currently on sale for $70 at Amazon, offering a $10 savings compared to the original price of the Fusion Pro 3.
