In Avowed, treasure maps serve as a pathway to discovering unique and powerful loot, with one such map being the My Loyal Shield treasure map found in Galawain’s Tusks. Players can obtain this treasure map by purchasing it from Eberk at the Southern Warden Tower, located in the western section of The Sallow Steppe.
Once you have the map, your quest to find the treasure leads you to a small set of ruins situated in the far western part of Twinedwood, just south of the Outcast Tower Camp. The ruins are located next to a river of lava, and to reach them, you’ll need to approach from the south and circle around the western side of the structure.
Inside the ruins, you’ll discover a central table featuring a switch on its side. Activating this switch opens a hidden door, which can be accessed by following the power cord. Venture inside to descend to the lower level of the ruins, where a chest awaits, containing the Time’s Tarnish, a legendary quality shield.
Collecting the Time’s Tarnish completes your treasure hunt. This shield provides the Timeless Aegis passive, which offers a 20% chance to refill 20 stamina when blocking, along with the Dull the Edge, Blunt the Point passive, giving a 10% chance to negate incoming melee damage. Players can enhance one of these abilities at an enchantment station located within their party camp.
