To enter the Deep Woods, players will need a copper axe or better to clear stumps and a copper pickaxe to remove a large rock blocking the path next to the carpenter’s shop. Caldarus’ home is situated in the upper right corner of the map. Once players reach him and interact, he will be added as a romance interest in the journal.
Regarding the dynamics of relationship progress, players initially found that their affection for Caldarus began at six hearts. However, that has since been adjusted by the developers, so it now reflects the player’s progress in the main story. New players may wish to refrain from advancing too far in the story before engaging in the Fire Seal quest for a balanced start.
