Vertiv Unveils One-Day Installation Package for AI-Driven Data Center Systems

Vertiv has unveiled the Vertiv OneCore, a new modular data center platform designed for rapid deployment of AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications. This innovative platform aims to streamline the installation process, allowing for the deployment of compute equipment in as little as a single day.

The OneCore system features a fully assembled, factory-built framework that integrates power, thermal, and IT infrastructure within a pre-constructed shell. This distinctive "slab-up" design means equipment is set up directly on a solid concrete floor instead of a raised flooring system. Vertiv asserts that this approach reduces logistical challenges, minimizes on-site labor, and enhances consistency in quality and timeline management.

Viktor Petik, senior vice president of infrastructure solutions at Vertiv, emphasized the importance of building a flexible foundation that can adapt to evolving business and technological needs. He stated, “Vertiv OneCore is our answer to the need for reducing complexity and enabling speed in building data center capacity at scale.” The modular nature of OneCore allows for the standardization of key components while still enabling scalability and flexibility.

OneCore has impressive deployment speeds, with capabilities of commissioning up to 1 MW per day, ultimately supporting a total of up to 50 MW. The cooling solutions integrated within the system include both liquid and air-cooled perimeter systems, along with direct-to-chip liquid cooling through Vertiv’s CoolChip technology. Additionally, it is compatible with the Trinergy advanced UPS system to optimize energy efficiency.

This modular data center design is backed by Vertiv’s global service organization, which ensures expert-led commissioning and proactive maintenance programs, thereby supporting long-term operational efficiency throughout the data center’s lifecycle.
