At the Discover Barcelona 2025 event, HPE unveiled an extensive array of networking solutions designed for enterprises transitioning into the AI networking realm. This includes newly launched switches and routers, as well as heightened collaborations with AMD and Nvidia. A key focus of HPE’s strategy is integrating AI technology acquired from Juniper, which was finalized in July.
The integration will combine HPE’s Aruba Networking Central with Juniper’s core Mist AIOps software. Rami Rahim, president of HPE’s networking sector, explained that the Mist AI and the Marvis virtual network assistant will leverage data from Juniper’s network assets to provide actionable insights and automated solutions for managing enterprise networking issues.
Additionally, a new component called the Mist Large Experience Model (LEM) will enhance the system’s ability to detect and resolve video-related issues by utilizing extensive data from applications like Zoom and Teams. HPE is also introducing its Agentic Mesh technology to Mist, which aims to boost AI-driven anomaly detection and root-cause analysis.
On the hardware side, HPE is releasing the MX301 multiservice edge router, aimed at optimizing AI inferencing right from data generation sources. This router is designed to provide secure and high-speed connections for AI applications across diverse environments.
The QFX5250 switch, expected in early 2026, will be engineered to facilitate high-performance AI workloads while utilizing liquid cooling and Juniper’s networking software.
Crucial to HPE’s AI networking expansion are strengthened partnerships with Nvidia and AMD. The enhanced collaboration with Nvidia introduces support for edge and long-haul data center interconnects, leveraging new offerings to facilitate secure, low-latency AI applications. Meanwhile, the partnership with AMD involves backing AMD’s Helios AI architecture, designed to enhance connectivity for AI workloads and promote a non-proprietary standard.
Furthermore, HPE is blending its automation capabilities with Juniper’s Apstra Data Center Director and integrating software-defined networking options for VMware. The announcements also include new all-flash storage solutions, ensuring streamlined protection of critical workloads in partnership with existing technologies.
