Introducing Veeam Data Cloud: Comprehensive Protection for Azure & Microsoft 365

With the launch of Veeam Data Cloud, Veeam has introduced data protection and recovery services that are now accessible on a single cloud platform. Veeam Data Cloud delivers comprehensive storage, cloud backup (Backup-as-a-service), and ransomware recovery for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. These data protection and security technologies are provided within a convenient to use interface.

Veeam asserts that superior protection for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure data is provided by the cloud-native architecture of Veeam Data Cloud and Microsoft Azure’s compatible data platform. These are policy-driven solutions that are readily available right out of the box.

The design draws on the Zero Trust principle, utilizes Azure Blob Storage object storage, isolates it from production environments, regularly versions it, maintains it, and ensures backups are secure and ready for swift recovery. By providing infrastructure, storage, and backup software in one package, this integrated solution aims to simplify administration and keep costs low and predictable.

“Veeam has always been a frontrunner in creating superior technology,” stated John Annand, Principal Research Director at Info-Tech Research Group. “IT professionals with substantial experience and training have found Veeam products easy to set up for their on-site environments. Veeam Data Cloud eliminates the need to seek highly experienced professionals to extract its full value, allowing skilled professionals to delegate and focus on other duties. Veeam Data Cloud provides cyber resiliency and data protection wherever the business requirements determine a workload should be located, instead of constraining all workloads to a single safe location.”

Microsoft 365 backup trailblazer Veeam, who has protected over 18 million users, has developed their new Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 based on its original Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 solution. Veeam’s new product is now offered as-a-service, supplying businesses with a modern, feature-filled, and user-friendly cloud hosting solution. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 grants businesses full control over their Microsoft 365 environment by providing comprehensive data protection and recovery for Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Exchange Online.

With the Veeam Data Platform, IT and security pros can relax with the knowledge that their data and applications are secure and constantly accessible across cloud, virtual, physical, SaaS, and Kubernetes environments.

Veeam, with offices in over 30 countries and a main base in Columbus, Ohio, oversees the protection of more than 450,000 clients internationally, including 74% of the Global 2000 as per the company’s claims.
