The Fortnite-themed PS5 controller has been restocked at several prominent retailers, including Best Buy and Target. The Fortnite-themed controller becomes available alongside two new controllers from PlayStation’s new Chroma Collection: Chroma Pearl DualSense ($80) and Chroma Indigo DualSense ($80). Additionally, the Chroma Teal DualSense ($80) is set to release on January 23.

The controller showcases a vibrant blue color scheme featuring graffiti-style designs inspired by the game. The Fortnite-themed controller is undeniably eye-catching with its energetic design, contrasting sharply with the recently released Astro Bot DualSense.

Beyond its Fortnite styling, this controller maintains the standard features found in other DualSense controllers, including haptic feedback, dynamic triggers, a touchpad, and gyro controls. Recently, PlayStation increased the price of DualSense controllers by five dollars, reflecting this change, the Fortnite controller is priced at $85. In contrast, the Astro Bot controller retails for $80 (when available), likely because preorders were initiated before the price hike. Moving ahead, it’s expected that limited-edition DualSense controllers will generally retail for $85.

PlayStation’s latest Chroma Collection showcases three types of DualSense controllers and console covers in unique, iridescent colors: Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo, and Chroma Teal.

DualSense Chroma Teal

Chroma controllers are priced at the new rate of $80. The console covers for the PS5 Slim are available for $65 each, which is $5 more than the current color options. While Chroma Pearl and Indigo accessories are set to release on November 7, Chroma Teal will not be released until January 23, 2025.

November is set to be an exciting month for PlayStation enthusiasts, especially with the impending release of the PS5 Pro, which is also expected to launch on November 7. Preorders for the PS5 Pro began on September 26 through PlayStation Direct and on October 10 at major retailers. Shortly after the PS5 Pro’s release, PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary Collection will introduce limited-edition consoles and controllers.

If you’re keen on getting the Fortnite DualSense controller but find it unavailable, new wireless third-party gamepads featuring official Fortnite themes for Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC are now on the market. Remarkably, two of these gamepads showcase very intricate designs.

Even though it boasts a vibrant yellow appearance, the Peely-themed wireless Switch controller from PowerA is remarkably subtle compared to its peers. This controller connects wirelessly through Bluetooth and features a pair of remappable back buttons. It was launched earlier this year at a price of $65 and includes a code for the Prickly Axe skin.

For Xbox and PC players, there’s the option to purchase PowerA’s recently released limited-edition Fortnite controller for $100. Released on October 1, this special edition controller is packed with impressive features, such as Hall Effect sticks and triggers, four remappable back buttons, trigger locks, and custom profiles. It also comes with the Tooth Pickaxe skin. This model shares many features with the recently introduced PowerA OPS V3 Pro for PC, which we found to be quite impressive for its price point.

The more affordable option within the OPS lineup, the V1, comes in a Fortnite style and is priced at $55. This wireless controller for PC and mobile, the Fortnite Edition OPS V1, is designed with Hall Effect sticks and triggers, four remappable back buttons, and three-way trigger locks. It can connect wirelessly via 2.4GHz or Bluetooth. It is currently available on Amazon and includes the Assault Bomber glider skin.
