Those in search of a robust RPG at a reduced price can take advantage of the current deal for Tokyo Xanadu eX+ on Switch, as the action RPG is now priced at $40 at Amazon and Best Buy. Typically retailing for $50, the game is brought to you by Aksys Games and Falcom, the minds behind the cherished Ys and Trails series.

Tokyo Xanadu was initially released as an exclusive for the PlayStation Vita in Japan, which later evolved into an enhanced version and localization called Tokyo Xanadu eX+ on PS4 in 2017, followed by a Switch version launch earlier this year. Set in a near-future Tokyo post-earthquake, where a rift to the eerie Eclipse realm has emerged, players join high schooler Kou Tokisaka and his classmates as they strive to safeguard the city. This enhanced port of Tokyo Xanadu eX+ boasts improved graphics, additional narrative content, and various quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay experience.

Although the Switch version is the most up-to-date release of the game, you can also purchase the PS4 version for only $20 at GameStop or $24 at Amazon.

If you appreciate Falcom’s offerings, you can also explore discounts on PC titles from the acclaimed Trails and Ys series available at Fanatical. Trails, also known as the Legend of Heroes, consists of various smaller sub-series such as Trails of Cold Steel, Trails from Zero, and Trails into Reverie, all contributing to a grand storyline that narrates the conflicts and socio-political dynamics of the fantastical realm of Zemuria. It may seem complex, but with significant price reductions on various titles in the series—including the most recent installment, Trails Through Daybreak, which debuted in July and is now priced at $48 (down from $60)—it is straightforward for newcomers to enter the saga, as this title initiates a fresh arc featuring a new main character.

Additionally, several of the latest Ys titles are currently available at reduced prices, including Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for $14 (down from $40), where the main character, Adol, finds himself stranded on an enigmatic island. Its continuation, Ys IX: Mostrum Nox, is now available for $30 (originally $60), continuing Adol’s journey against sinister entities from another dimension. Although it isn’t discounted, you can also pick up the newly released title that came out a few weeks ago, Ys X: Nordics for $60.

Refer to the list below to discover more discounted Ys and Trails titles available at Fanatical. As an additional incentive, all games are qualified for the site’s Birthday Bash promotion. By spending $12 or more in a single transaction at Fanatical, you can earn a mystery bonus game or a coupon during this event.

Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom.

Fanatical’s sales offer significant savings on digital PC versions of Falcom’s games, but the physical editions are also intriguing. They frequently come with bonuses such as collectibles, art prints, soundtrack CDs, and much more. Several deluxe editions of the Ys and Legend of Heroes series remain available, alongside exciting upcoming releases. One to look forward to is the remake Ys Memoire: The Oath of Felghana, set to launch in January 2025, which includes a diorama set, postcards, and a CD soundtrack. In February 2025, The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II is set to be released with a mini art book and a digital soundtrack download code in its deluxe edition.

We have compiled a list of all these special editions below, providing details to give you a sense of what each release includes.
