Mastering Wall-Jumping: A Guide to Movement in Black Ops 7

In the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, players will see the return of the wall-running mechanic, now referred to as "Wall Jumps." This feature is integrated into the game’s new Omnimovement system, enhancing vertical movement in multiplayer matches.

Details shared by developers Treyarch and Raven Software reveal that Wall Jumps will have specific restrictions. Players can execute these jumps from designated surfaces marked with unique icons, and will experience a decrease in momentum with each jump. Notably, up to three Wall Jumps can be performed in succession without needing to touch the ground.

The implementation of wall-running isn’t entirely new to the series; it was notably featured in Black Ops 3, albeit with mixed reviews. In this installment, players had access to exoskeletons for enhanced mobility.

In addition to Wall Jumps, Black Ops 7 introduces significant changes to other gameplay mechanics, including an overhaul of Tactical Sprint and a new Body Shield feature, allowing players to set traps for enemies. The full list of launch maps and game modes has also been revealed, promising a robust multiplayer experience.

Black Ops 7 is set to launch on November 4, with a multiplayer beta scheduled to begin in early October, allowing players to experience the new features ahead of the official release. For additional details, an overview of what to expect from the game can be found here.
