The first paid DLC for Borderlands 4, titled "Bounty Pack 1: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day," is set to release on November 20, 2025. This eagerly awaited content offers players new narrative-driven missions, formidable new enemies, and exciting legendary gear.
The announcement was made by Gearbox Software during a panel at PAX Australia. In this new installment, the festive Mercenary Day is put in jeopardy by the Timekeeper’s Minister of Culture. Players will take control of Rush and team up with the vault hunters to thwart this threat using an array of weapons and skills.
Completing missions in this DLC will reward players with various loot and collectibles, including new Drone Skins and Vault Hunter Styles. A new feature, the Vault Card, will grant players access to unlockable rewards. This includes:
- 4 rerollable weapons
- 4 Vault Hunter Heads for Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 4 Vault Hunter Skins for Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 5 Weapon Skins
- 5 Vehicle Skins
- 4 ECHO-4 Drone Skins
- 2 ECHO-4 Attachments
"Bounty Pack 1" will be available for players who have purchased either of the Deluxe editions of Borderlands 4. It can also be obtained as part of a bundle that includes all four packs or as a standalone purchase.
In addition to the DLC, Gearbox is introducing free seasonal content, including a mini-event called "Horrors of Kairos," running from October 23 to November 6. During this event, players will face world bosses affected by blood rain, with a chance of acquiring new legendary loot. Seasonal cosmetics will also be released via SHiFT codes.
Moreover, players can expect new endgame content in Q4, with a challenging boss known as Bloomreaper the Invincible, requiring players to adapt their builds to tackle this powerful foe effectively. Exciting times lie ahead for Borderlands fans as new content is on the horizon.
