Fortnite has undergone a significant transformation with the introduction of Chapter 7. This new season has completely overhauled the loot pool, presenting players with a range of weapons and items that are brand new to the game. Notably, Epic Games has added a unique class of items known as boss kits, which drop when players defeat certain NPC bosses.
These kits are designed to transform the player when they are equipped, mimicking the appearance of the boss and providing additional health and stamina. Each kit also comes with a unique ability that the player can activate, but there’s a catch: the kits reveal the player’s location on the map to everyone else. Currently, there are three bosses from which players can claim these kits, found at various designated locations, including Ripped Tides, Classified Canyon, Painted Palms, and along the lake east of Wonkeeland.
Some of the latest additions include:
- Human Bill’s Kit: Grants a low-gravity effect and spawns henchmen.
- Beach Brutus’ Kit: Provides shield regeneration and also spawns henchmen.
- Hush’s Kit: Gives players zero point dashes which allow for enhanced mobility.
Moreover, new weapons exclusive to this season have been added, including:
- Hush’s Deadeye AR: The most powerful variant of the Deadeye AR.
- Brutus’ Twin Hammer Shotguns: Also the best version available.
- The Forsaken Vow Blade: A deadly weapon with movement capabilities.
There’s even a Self-Revive Device, a groundbreaking item that allows players to revive themselves when downed, available through med machines and care packages scattered throughout the gameplay area.
Chapter 7 Season 1 appears to be a game-changer, introducing innovative mechanics that can alter the course of battle in Fortnite, making it one of the most exciting seasons to date.
