Brendan Fraser’s Comeback Era: From Hollywood to Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda

Brendan Fraser has recently made headlines due to his remarkable return to Hollywood, starring in films like "The Whale" and taking on future roles. However, the actor’s current challenge lies not on a movie set but within the pixelated world of video gaming, specifically in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. During an interview, Fraser admitted that he’s been struggling against the fierce Lynels, a notorious mini-boss within the game, saying, "I want to know how to get better weapons without getting my ass kicked by all the Lynels." He humorously added that he feels there aren’t enough bomb-flowers to aid his battle.

Despite being encouraged to look up gaming guides, Fraser expressed his desire to play the game authentically, preferring to navigate the challenges without relying on walkthroughs.

In addition to returning to acting, Fraser is set to portray Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower in an upcoming film titled Pressure, adding to his growing filmography after his comeback. While fans of The Legend of Zelda await news on the next installment in the series, there’s plenty to explore in Breath of the Wild. The game and its sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, received notable enhancements for the upcoming Switch 2, making them prime candidates for re-exploration. Furthermore, a live-action Legend of Zelda movie is currently in production, with plans to release on Netflix after its theatrical debut.
