Add Resident Evil 4 to your collection before three other games in the series receive physical editions for PS5 next January.

PS5 owners who haven’t picked up the remarkable Resident Evil 4 remake can now find a physical copy at a great price. Amazon has reduced the price of Resident Evil 4 to just $20 for PS5. This represents the lowest price available for the PlayStation 5 physical edition. While Resident Evil 4 typically retails for $40, it is frequently offered at $30-$35 on Amazon. Also, Xbox Series X users can find a physical copy for $22.
Resident Evil 4 builds upon Capcom’s successful series of remakes, revitalizing the original 2005 story and atmosphere with updated visuals and gameplay that refine the mechanics seen in the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. However, contrary to the significant transformations evident in those other titles, this iteration of Resident Evil 4 offers a more faithful rendition.
In GameSpot’s Resident Evil 4 review, Kurt Indovina gave the game a perfect score of 10/10, praising the remake for being “a re-envisioning of its past rather than a replication of it.” He highlighted that it not only elevates the standard for remakes but also maintains the legacy of Resident Evil 4 as a groundbreaking experience and one of the finest games ever made.
This remake was the first of Capcom’s Resident Evil series to get a physical release for PS5, and soon it will be joined by others. Capcom plans to launch physical editions of the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes on January 10, 2025. Additionally, Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will also be released in physical form on that date, ensuring that its direct sequel, Resident Evil Village, won’t be the only one on your shelf. All three titles will feature free upgrades from PS4 to PS5, meaning many fans might already own the PS4 versions. For those who prefer matching game cases or simply want the actual physical editions for PS5, preorders are available for $30 each at Best Buy.
