Fortnite’s Upcoming Icon Skin: Celebrating the Rise to Fame at Just 14!

Fortnite has added Cody "Clix" Conrod to its Icon series, making him one of the youngest to receive a skin in the game at just 19 years old. The announcement highlights a new cosmetics collection inspired by Clix, including two unique skin styles that reference popular memes: one featuring casual attire with a t-shirt and pajama pants, and another in a formal suit and tie.

Clix rose to fame after competing in the Fortnite World Cup in 2019 at the age of 14. He has since transitioned into a well-known streamer within the gaming community. His new cosmetics pack includes the skin, two back blings, two emotes, a wrapping design for weapons, and a pickaxe.

The Clix skin, alongside a themed version of the Sparkplug skin called Sparx, will be available for purchase starting March 22. Players will have the opportunity to earn these cosmetics for free by participating in the Clix Icon Cup, a tournament scheduled for March 21. Top performers in the battle royale competition will receive the entire set, while others reaching a lower performance tier will be rewarded with the Sparx outfit. Additionally, players scoring at least 8 points in the tournament will receive a spray as a consolation prize.

Notably, Clix now takes the title for the youngest individual to receive a Fortnite skin, surpassing The Kid Laroi, who also had his skin at 19 years old in 2023. However, Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf remains the youngest to achieve this honor at 18.
