The Fortnite servers are currently down, but there’s no cause for alarm. This is all part of the process. The servers will be back up shortly; here’s everything you need to know.

As Fortnite’s latest all-Marvel season comes to a close, anticipation builds for what’s next, which seems ready to deliver another wave of nostalgia for long-time players. The Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 is on the horizon. Much like the return of Fortnite OG last November, this update promises a return (and remix) of the classic Chapter 2 island, featuring skins, weapons, loot, and more reminiscent of that era from Epic’s iconic game.

Once Fortnite’s servers are back online, players can look forward to this year’s exciting Remix season. However, Epic Games has already indicated that this season will only last for one month, leading up to another Chapter finale event in December, which will introduce a fresh island.

For many players, the return of the Chapter 2 map may create more excitement than last year’s introduction of the classic map. For now, though, we can only wait for Epic to restore Fortnite’s online presence. But when exactly will that happen? Unfortunately, this remains uncertain as there’s no specific timeline for the maintenance to conclude. Generally, new Fortnite seasons are expected to launch between 7 AM and 10 AM ET on the designated day, which in this case is November 2; however, there have been significant exceptions in the past.

Earlier this year, for instance, a technical glitch caused the game to remain offline until late in the day, resulting in Fortnite being unavailable for nearly a full day. This was quite a rare occurrence and shouldn’t be expected frequently.

Once the game is restored, Remix Chapter 2 will roll out numerous updates, including a new (or rather, returning) map reminiscent of Chapter 2. Players can anticipate vehicles appropriate for that era—or possibly no vehicles initially, as cars were not introduced until Chapter 2 Season 3. Additionally, a new Remix Chapter 2 Pass will likely pay homage to some beloved characters from that period with exciting mash-ups, such as combining Meowscles and Midas into one unique character.

As soon as the servers are restored, we will provide you with an extensive overview of all the new content in Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 right here.
