Walmart has finally made the highly anticipated new Zelda game available both online and in their physical stores.

If you’ve missed your chance to get a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, now you have more purchasing options. The newly launched Switch exclusive wasn’t initially available for preorder at Walmart or Amazon, but both stores are now offering it. Walmart has the game available online and in physical locations. Meanwhile, Amazon lists available options for imported, region-free editions, but currently does not stock Nintendo’s games in North America. However, Amazon is promoting the chance to buy an imported copy through its official UK Global Store with a 10% discount on Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
Alongside Walmart, Echoes of Wisdom is priced at $60 at Best Buy, Target, and GameStop. These retailers will provide the North American physical edition, whereas Amazon offers the UK edition at a reduced price of $54.
Currently, Echoes of Wisdom is not available on Amazon US, but you can find it on Amazon UK. Through Amazon’s UK Global Store, it’s possible to order this import item just like any other. The Nintendo Switch itself is not region-locked, meaning that games from different regions will function properly as long as they provide English support. The only noticeable difference will be the rating board’s logo located in the bottom left corner of the packaging.
As it stands, there are two listings on Amazon, one of which is managed and shipped by Amazon’s UK Global Store. You can enjoy free shipping and save some money as the UK edition costs $54.24. Plus, you are still covered by Amazon’s return policy, and customer service will be handled by Amazon US.
If the first listing sells out, you can check the second listing, where Echoes of Wisdom is available for $58.
To celebrate the release of Echoes of Wisdom, Nintendo introduced a limited-edition Switch Lite.
You can find the Hyrule Edition Nintendo Switch Lite at Target, Best Buy, and GameStop. While the console does not include the game, you will receive a one-year membership for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which typically retails for $50. This effectively means you are acquiring the membership for just $10.
This limited-edition console boasts a striking gold color paired with black accents, adorned with the Hylian Crest on the back. Additionally, it features a small Triforce symbol located beneath the right thumbstick.
By utilizing your Switch Online membership, you’ll have access to an extensive collection of The Legend of Zelda games tailored to this themed console. The Switch Online + Expansion Pack grants you entry to over 100 classic games from a variety of systems including SNES, NES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo 64.

The Hyrule Edition is arguably the best deal for the Switch Lite at the moment. However, it’s important to mention that Target remains a great option with its exclusive Switch Lite bundle, which includes an Animal Crossing-themed console and a digital version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons for just $200. Additionally, if you’re looking to enjoy Zelda on your TV, the Mario Red Nintendo Switch OLED is currently at its lowest price ever on Amazon.
Echoes of Wisdom stands out as a significant installment in the cherished Nintendo series. For the first time in nearly 40 years, the character Zelda takes center stage. While it’s not entirely the first occasion Zelda has been a playable character, fans might prefer to forget about Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Zelda’s Adventure, two notorious Philips CD-i titles that Nintendo would likely wish to erase from memory.
Fortunately, Echoes of Wisdom emerges as a remarkable success, blending contemporary and classic Zelda elements seamlessly. This expansive top-down adventure retains the traditional dungeons while allowing players the freedom to tackle puzzles in a variety of ways. Echoes of Wisdom marks the fifth mainline Zelda title to receive a physical edition on the Switch, and there are also significant savings available on several of Link’s epic adventures.
Several Amiibo figures from The Legend of Zelda series are now available again at major retailers for their retail price. In the game Echoes of Wisdom, players can utilize Amiibo to acquire additional crafting materials. Additionally, you can unlock three unique outfits for Zelda. While these outfits can be found within the game, scanning specific Amiibo will grant you alternate versions of these three outfits.
