Splatoon 3’s Free Switch 2 Update is Here: Check Out the Patch Notes!

Nintendo has released a significant update for Splatoon 3, version 10.0.0, enhancing the game’s performance on the Switch 2 and introducing new content. The update brings improved graphics, smoother gameplay mechanics, and a host of new weapons, alongside balance adjustments aimed at enriching the player experience.

The latest patch includes visual enhancements that make Splatoon 3 look and run better on the Nintendo Switch 2. Key areas, such as Splatsville and Grand Festival Grounds, have been optimized for smoother transitions. Additionally, character animations have been improved, creating a more immersive experience.

A notable feature of this update is the addition of 30 new weapons categorized under the Splatlands Collection, which players can find in the Ammo Knights shop. Moreover, the classic multiplayer map Urchin Underpass has returned, increasing the total number of maps to 25.

The update doesn’t just add content; it also includes important gameplay modifications. For instance, adjustments have been made to the S-Blast variants, increasing their ink consumption to offer opponents better chances to counter these weapons. The durability of the Wave Breaker has been improved, and the new Series Weapon Power feature in Anarchy Battles matches players based on their weapon’s performance, ensuring that each battle feels balanced.

Beyond the gameplay enhancements and new features, Nintendo also hinted at additional content with a recently announced spin-off titled Splatoon Raiders, which will be exclusive to the Switch 2.
