Stray Kite Studios has revealed the first trailer for their debut game, Wartorn, a tactical roguelike adventure. The game revolves around two elven sisters struggling to survive as they seek to reunite with their family amidst a chaotic world. Players will face difficult choices and moral dilemmas that will influence the sisters’ journey.
Combat will be a significant focus, but players will also navigate both external dangers and personal conflicts. Paul Hellquist, the creative director of Stray Kite, stated that Wartorn challenges players to find meaning in selflessness amidst the turmoil. The game features destructible environments and a dynamic combat system that includes the manipulation of water, fire, and electricity. Additionally, players can slow down time to manage chaos during battles.
Before Wartorn, Stray Kite Studios contributed to projects like Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure and created mini-games for Fortnite Creative. Players can look forward to the game’s early access launch on Steam and Epic Game Store in Spring 2025.
