A new wireless controller designed for the Sega Dreamcast has been released by Retro Fighters, refreshing an iconic gaming experience for both nostalgic players and newcomers. The Retro Fighters D6 controller aims to modernize the gameplay by offering compatibility not only with the Dreamcast but also with Nintendo Switch and PC.
The D6 controller features a six-button layout and a D-pad equipped with Kailh micro-switches for precision. It also includes two customizable modes for the C and Z buttons, one of which replicates the classic Dreamcast functionality. Utilizing 2.4 GHz wireless technology, this controller provides an improved gaming experience, especially for popular Dreamcast titles like Street Fighter Alpha 3, Soul Calibur, and Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Available in black and white color options, the D6 is currently priced at $55.
In addition, another modern controller, the 8Bitdo 64 Bluetooth controller, is on the horizon. This controller is particularly tailored for use with the upcoming Nintendo 64 FPGA console, the Analogue 3D, but it will also work with PC, Switch, and Android devices. The 8Bitdo controller promises several enhancements, including anti-drift Hall Effect sticks and customizable button layouts via a dedicated app, with a planned release for $40 on June 30.
