Fortnite Server Outage: When to Expect Service Restoration for Star Wars Season?

Fortnite is currently undergoing maintenance as it prepares for its new Star Wars-themed season, titled Galactic Battle. This season will be shorter than usual, lasting only five weeks, but it promises to introduce exciting new content. Unfortunately, players are unable to jump into the action right now until the servers are back online.

The previous season, Season 2, was full of surprises, introducing new items like the Kneecapper and Rocket Drill, alongside pop star Sabrina Carpenter as a festival headliner. However, with the transition to the new Star Wars season, certain items like the Kneecapper will no longer be available.

Typically, when Fortnite servers go offline for updates, the downtime lasts about three to four hours for regular patches. However, for a new season, it can take at least four hours or even longer—previously, the servers were down for 18 hours before the start of Chapter 5 Season 2. Players can expect Fortnite to be back online as early as 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET.

Once the servers are back, players will dive into the Star Wars-themed battle royale, featuring a new battle pass loaded with Star Wars skins and a new Lego Pass that also includes Star Wars-themed builds along with the Captain Phasma skin. While some modes will integrate these new features, others focusing on gameplay mechanics will continue without the Star Wars theme.

Epic Games began building anticipation for this season early by revealing information during Star Wars Celebration in Japan, diverging from its standard routine of revealing new seasons just a week ahead of launch. While waiting for the servers to return, players can familiarize themselves with the new features, including map changes and new weapons.

For further details, you can check out the information on the new season, including everything players can expect.
