Extreme Enhances AI Capabilities in Its Integrated Network and Security Platform

Extreme Networks has enhanced its integrated network and security management system, Platform ONE, by incorporating new features that aim to streamline enterprise resource management. This cloud-based solution integrates various products for wired, wireless, and security services along with artificial intelligence and analytics capabilities sourced from partners like Intel, Microsoft, and ServiceNow.

The upgraded Platform ONE now includes a feature called AI Canvas, which allows users to generate customizable real-time dashboards for monitoring network performance and security issues. This innovation is said to reduce manual tasks by up to 90%.

Additionally, a new Service AI Agent has been introduced, capable of executing tasks through natural language. It manages functions such as planning, configuration, troubleshooting, and report generation, effectively mitigating the need for manual intervention. The Service AI Agent collaborates with the system’s AI Expert agent, which gathers data from various sources—including Extreme’s knowledge base and third-party applications—to optimize network performance and user experience.

As these elements work in tandem, the Service AI Agent can implement network policies defined by the Expert Agent, thereby cutting down resolution times by up to 98%. The system automates diagnostics, swiftly troubleshoots issues, and can even auto-remediate problems if selected by users.

Currently, the enhanced Platform ONE is available in a limited capacity, with a broader rollout scheduled for the third quarter of 2025. For more information, you can visit the official Extreme Platform ONE page.
