HPE Aruba has introduced a new series of switches aimed at modernizing data centers and campuses, focusing on enhanced support for AI and digital workloads. Among the highlights is the CX 10040 distributed services switch, which significantly improves on the previous model with doubled scale and performance, offering 8 Tbps of non-blocking switching capacity and advanced security features including firewall and DDoS protections.
According to John Gray, a leader in data center networking solutions at HPE Aruba, the CX 10000 platform integrates advanced security into the networking fabric and provides real-time visibility of traffic. This allows organizations to better manage their networks, transforming them from static infrastructures into dynamic strategic advantages.
The CX 10040 switch maintains its role as a top-of-rack device but is equipped with enhanced capabilities for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. It can operate as a border leaf or data center interconnect (DCI) node, ensuring secure data transport without compromising performance, which is crucial for enterprises adapting to complex cloud strategies.
Aruba is also positioning this switch as a possible alternative to VMware products, which have seen price increases. The integration of the Morpheus VM Essentials allows users to bypass the old VMware NSX networking features and provides a cost-effective way to manage virtualization and network services.
In addition to the CX 10040, HPE Aruba has launched the CX 6300M series of Layer 3 enterprise access switches, designed to support high-speed networking for IoT and AI applications. These switches include advanced monitoring and analytics features, promoting proactive network management.
Moreover, Aruba has unveiled a new family of Wi-Fi 7 access points that prioritize traffic for AI and cloud applications, ensuring optimal performance in high-density environments.
This rollout showcases HPE Aruba’s commitment to providing enhanced networking capabilities that align with the increasing demands of AI technologies and digital transformation initiatives across various business sectors.
