HPE has announced the launch of new AI-powered network security and data protection technologies at the Black Hat 2025 conference. Among the key offerings is a secure access service edge (SASE) copilot aimed at assisting networking teams in making quicker and more informed decisions. This copilot aims to leverage artificial intelligence to enhance various network security and data protection capabilities integrated within HPE’s portfolio, including their Aruba and Juniper Networking units.
David Hughes, Senior Vice President and General Manager for SASE and Security at HPE Networking, emphasized the necessity for advanced solutions amid increasingly complex cyber threats. He stated, “Organizations need advanced solutions to mitigate risk, defend against attacks and build resiliency, across their entire IT estate.” HPE’s offerings are designed to adopt a multi-layered, zero-trust security approach, incorporating AI for continuous validation and automated remediation.
The SASE copilot for HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect will provide customers with valuable insights into network operations and security vulnerabilities, thereby enabling network and security teams to concentrate on higher-level strategic tasks while the copilot manages routine functions such as troubleshooting and report generation.
Additionally, HPE improved security measures through updates to its Aruba Networking Central NAC, which will enable zero-trust policy enforcement across third-party devices. The integration of AppEngine with HPE Aruba Networking Central also enhances visibility, risk-based policy enforcement, and centralized control.
Moreover, HPE introduced the Zerto integration hub, designed to simplify system security and disaster recovery. This hub facilitates connections between HPE Zerto and various cybersecurity applications and enterprise network devices, thereby generating insights and streamlining operations for data protection.
With exclusive integration with CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform, HPE Zerto aims to provide sophisticated recovery options by restoring applications to safe points just before an attack. This collaboration combines threat detection with recovery capabilities, ensuring that organizations can maintain continuity, even when faced with ransomware threats.
The general availability of the HPE Alletra Storage MP X1000 data protection package is also part of the announcement, with the integration hub set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025. For more information, you can access the full press release from HPE here.
