Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Rereleased on Switch: All Games Included for Just $30!

More than three years after its initial launch, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been re-released for the Nintendo Switch, now available in a new physical edition priced at $30, which is half the original price and the cost of the digital version available on the eShop. This edition is particularly appealing as it includes all three games on the cartridge, a significant change from the prior version that required players to download one of the games.

The new physical edition is currently available for purchase on Amazon.

Originally, the physical version only came with two of the three games on the game card, necessitating a download from the eShop to access Vice City. This led to a hefty required download size of nearly 10GB, which was a major complaint among Switch users at the time.

The re-release addresses many of the performance and visual issues that plagued the initial launch of the trilogy. While the collection is still not without its flaws, improvements have been made to enhance the overall experience. It’s uncertain whether the digital edition’s price will match the new physical price point permanently, as it currently remains higher than the physical version.

Fans of the series can now enjoy a more refined experience at a lower cost, marking a notable shift in how the trilogy is now presented on the Nintendo Switch.
