There are a lot of items to find in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Some might be lost at sea, though there’s a way for you to still acquire them. Here’s our guide on how to get the Pirate King’s Treasure in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Likewise, please be reminded that this guide contains minor spoilers.

The Pirate King’s Treasure discovery becomes available at the start of Chapter 12: A Golden Key. This is when the Tiny Bronco crash lands, becoming a naval vessel instead.

Commence your journey at Costa del Sol. Make your way to the pier where the Tiny Bronco is anchored and uncover the chest containing ethereal purple crossed swords. A map charting the location of four Pirate’s Grottoes will reveal itself. Although you can traverse to these in any sequence, we have sorted them based on their proximity to Costa del Sol:

Your pursuit for the Pirate King’s Treasure in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will lead you to unexplored domains featuring Pirate’s Grottoes. Reach these by cruising the Tiny Bronco:

From Costa del Sol, chart a course northeast until you glimpse a slim waterway between the mainland and a petite islet. The beast dwelling here, known as the Hueyacoatl, exhibits a weakness towards wind element attacks and spells. Similarly, it enters a high energy state where it incessantly pummels the environment with lightning streaks, although landing a hit during this phase can push it into a pressured state.

Continuing northeast from the Hueyacoatl battleground, you can locate the Pirate’s Grotto by remaining aboard the Sea Dragon. Another island exists where the Tiny Bronco can dock. Regarding the Sea Dragon, take into account the following mechanics:

To reach this Pirate’s Grotto, use the Gongaga Port fast travel point and follow the coast to the east. Alternatively, you can just sail southwest from Costa del Sol.

This monster is weak against the ice element, making it very easy to stagger. It does roar from time to time to strengthen its own attacks.

The Brineborn Demon is located south of Crow’s Nest in the Junon region. To get there, you have to use the Under Junon Port fast travel point, then continue sailing south.

As for the monster itself, it will activate its Counterstance, which is followed by a devastating Graviga spell later on. The goal is to use fire element attacks and spells to pressure and stagger it, which will also prevent it from using Graviga.

You’ve almost secured the Pirate King’s Treasure in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The only element left is to assemble the Corsair’s Compass. Simply navigate to the Item Transmuter menu and select the Accessories option. Here, you will find the blueprint for the Corsair’s Compass, which can be put together using the four Pirate’s Relics you have collected.

Once you possess the Corsair’s Compass, it can be utilized in your journey. When you explore the Meridian Ocean on the Tiny Bronco, you will occasionally spot a golden reticle accompanied by an arrow. Follow the arrow direction which will lead you to purple containers. These containers usually have Pirate’s Jetsam and other exclusive materials.
