Civilization 7 releases on February 11 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

It’s been nearly eight years since the launch of Civilization 6, and now–thanks to Gamescom Opening Night Live–we have an official release date for Sid Meier’s Civilization 7. The long-awaited strategy game arrives on February 11, 2025 for PC, Xbox, PS5, and Switch, with select versions offering early access on February 6. Four different versions are up for preorder, including the Collector’s Edition loaded with physical goodies. If you favor physical media, you’ll definitely want to take a look at the Deluxe Edition, which comes with a bunch of post-launch DLC.

Here’s a detailed look at all Civilization 7 preorders, including any bonuses that accompany your purchase. To make the wait until February more engaging, consider diving into Sid Meier’s Memoir: A Life in Computer Games. Released in 2020, this exceptional book provides an insight into the thoughts of one of the towering figures in game design. Options to buy a hardcover at $20.80 (originally $28) or a paperback at $15.26 (originally $17) are available.
If you preorder the standard edition of Civilization 7, you’ll receive the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack, an offer typically reserved for the deluxe and founder’s editions. While there may be retailer-specific bonuses announced soon, this currently stands as the exclusive offer. Regular updates will follow as new bonuses become available.
Preordering this version of Civilization 7 secures the base game along with the previously mentioned bonuses. The game is priced at $60 on Switch and $70 on PS5, Xbox, and PC. The digital edition allows cross-generation play for PS5 to PS4 and Series X|S to Xbox One. For Xbox, the physical disc provides dual entitlement across console generations, yet the PlayStation physical version is specifically for the PS5.
