Adherents of the Cult of the Lamb can now place their preorders for Oni Press’ official graphic novel inspired by Massive Monster’s popular 2022 game. Fans of the Lamb were perhaps aware that this forthcoming trade paperback was funded by an impressive Kickstarter campaign that amassed $684,000. Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse compiles the initial four-issue comic series launched earlier this year. You can preorder Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse at a promotional price of $18 (originally $20) before its release on December 3.
Illustrations for Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse were crafted by Eisner Award-nominated artist Troy Little, with colors by Nick Filardi, and narrative by Alex Paknadel. The cover art, mirroring that of the initial comic in the series, was designed by Carles Dalmau.
True to the spirit of the game, the comics feature a delightfully dark sense of humor and excellent artwork that conveys a variety of themes from the original game.

“In a realm shadowed by darkness and malevolence, the purest of all, young Lamb, was chosen for a heroic purpose—to be the sacrificial symbol in a mystical ritual designed to banish the ancient, nefarious Old Gods from our world and initiate an era of abundance. Yet, Lamb’s destiny took an unexpected turn when they negotiated a pact of their own. At the eternal crossroads, Lamb encountered the One Who Waits, a god trapped by deception. This deity exposed the manipulations and lies of the ruling false prophets and the corrupted Old Faith. Faced with the choice to vanish into oblivion or to emerge back into the living world with forbidden powers, Lamb decided to spearhead a new, ominous faith upon the Earth.”
