Publisher Nexon has announced a demo for The First Berserker: Khazan, set to launch on January 16. Players will have unlimited time to experience the demo, which is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT without a scheduled end date. This suggests that players can enjoy the demo for as long as they wish.
The First Berserker: Khazan is part of the Dungeon & Fighter series, taking place 800 years before the main series events. The game follows Khazan, who is wrongfully accused of treason and sent to the snowy mountains where he embarks on a quest for vengeance. The main character is voiced by Ben Starr, known for his role as Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy XVI.
The game’s official Twitter mentioned the demo availability, stating, "DEMO will be available from January 16, 2025, at 15:00 (UTC) with no end date scheduled." Neople, the South Korean studio behind the game, is recognized for Dungeon Fighter Online.
In a previous preview of the beta, The First Berserker: Khazan was described as playing similarly to a power fantasy version of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, emphasizing the need for players to learn boss attack patterns and manage a stamina gauge.
The game was initially revealed at The Game Awards 2023 and received an extended trailer during The Game Awards 2024. It’s slated for release on March 27, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
