Marvel Rivals is changing the structure of its seasons, starting from Season 3, which is set to kick off between July and August. This upcoming season will see a shift to shorter, two-month seasons instead of the previous three-month format. As a result, a new hero will be introduced to the roster every month, significantly increasing the pace of updates and character additions.
This announcement was made during the Marvel Rivals Season 2 Development Vision presentation. In Season 2, players can expect the addition of Emma Frost on April 11, coinciding with the Hellfire Gala theme. Ultron will also be making a debut midway through this season. Historically, Season 1 featured the whole Fantastic Four team, whereas future updates will likely focus on just two new characters per season.
Moreover, the shorter seasons could mean quicker battle passes, although additional details regarding any changes will be revealed later by NetEase. Season 2 will also introduce new color variants for existing skins and allow players to gift skins to others. New team-up abilities are coming as well, including collaborations for Captain America and Winter Soldier, with some team-ups, like the one involving Thor, Captain America, and Storm, being removed.
Season 2 launches on April 11, promising exciting new content for players.
