Blue Prince from Dogubomb and Raw Fury has become the highest-rated game of 2025 according to Metacritic. This indie first-person puzzle game, which features a unique roguelike structure, lets players explore a manor with shifting rooms. Each day, the rooms reset, and players can upgrade them based on their actions, adding an intriguing layer of strategy to the gameplay.
Critics have praised Blue Prince for its inventive design. GameSpot’s Steve Watts lauded it as “one of the most memorable video game experiences,” highlighting its accessibility along with its challenging aspects. At present, the game holds an impressive score of 92 on Metacritic, surpassing notable titles like Split Fiction (91), Monster Hunter Wilds, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and The Roottrees are Dead.
Scheduled for release on April 10, Blue Prince will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass subscribers will have the advantage of accessing it without additional costs. With the buzz surrounding it, Blue Prince is poised to take the indie gaming spotlight this year, much like Balatro did last year.
