Silent Hill f’s physical edition is available for preorder, scheduled for release on September 25 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. This new installment from the iconic horror franchise deviates from its traditional format by omitting individual editions in favor of a single comprehensive release, similar to the recent Silent Hill 2 remake.
Set in the unsettling backdrop of 1960s Japan, the game features a protagonist named Shimizu Hinako, who must navigate a twisted interpretation of her hometown while contending with horrific creatures characteristic of the Silent Hill series. Players can expect a focus on close-quarters melee combat rather than gunplay, reflecting a strategic shift in gameplay dynamics.
The release date was unveiled during PlayStation’s State of Play event on June 4, where gameplay footage was also shown for the first time. Preorders for the game, priced at $70, can be placed at major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.
For those interested in the PC version, Fanatical offers a preorder discount of 25%, bringing the price down to $52.49 for the standard edition and $60 for the Deluxe edition, which was originally priced at $80.
