Earlier this week, the launch of Season 2 for Battlefield 6 was delayed until February 17 to accommodate necessary refinements based on player feedback. However, an update set to roll out on January 20, version 1.1.3.5, will introduce notable improvements ahead of this.
One significant change focuses on jet combat; cannon damage against flying vehicles will be significantly reduced, requiring about 40% more hits to destroy aerial targets. Despite this, the air radar previously mentioned will not be part of this update.
The update will also enhance melee combat, improving responsiveness and consistency for various hand-to-hand attacks, including knives and the sledgehammer. Additionally, adjustments to the Assault Ladder will make it more user-friendly, alongside several user interface improvements and stability enhancements for Battle Royale and Gauntlet modes.
With the extension of Season 1, new weekly challenges will be introduced, providing an opportunity for players to earn cosmetics and an XP boost. Season pass holders will also see added benefits, including a weapon package and further customization options.
The complete patch notes for update 1.1.3.5 will be released alongside the update on January 20.
