Netflix’s Castlevania animated series stands out as one of the finest adaptations of video games, and soon, enthusiasts of this visually captivating series can enrich their Blu-ray collection with Castlevania: Nocturne Season 1. This sequel to the original Castlevania series, which enjoyed a successful run over four seasons, is set to release on October 8. In anticipation of its debut during Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon has offered a promotional preorder price of $24, marking a notable 40% reduction from its original retail price of $40.
Nocturne will debut on the same day as Arcane, another animated series from Netflix based on League of Legends, which will feature various physical edition options, including a limited 4K Blu-ray with a steelbook case. However, unlike Arcane, Nocturne will only be accessible on standard 1080p Blu-ray, consistent with all four seasons of Netflix’s initial Castlevania saga.
The Blu-ray edition of Castlevania: Nocturne comprises all eight episodes, available with English and Spanish voice options as well as subtitles in both languages. Additionally, it includes a handful of special features such as production animatics, storyboards, and art galleries.

Castlevania: Nocturne serves as the sequel to Netflix’s four-season Castlevania series. Similar to its predecessor, Nocturne loosely follows the storyline introduced in the original series, with its first season recounting the events of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, set hundreds of years later during the French Revolution of 1792.
Recently, Netflix unveiled a teaser trailer for Nocturne Season 2, announcing that it will be available for streaming in January 2025. The upcoming season will adapt the sequel to Rondo of Blood, known as Symphony of Night, which is often celebrated as one of the best Castlevania games.
For fans of Castlevania, there are four unique Castlevania: Nocturne Funko Pops available for purchase on Amazon. All four collectible vinyl figures were released in August.
