Unveiling the Canceled Transformers: Reactivate – Gameplay Footage Surfaces Online!

Supposed gameplay footage from the canceled multiplayer online action game Transformers: Reactivate by Splash Damage has recently surfaced online. The company announced on social media that the game has been officially canceled, indicating that some of its staff members may face redundancy as a result.

Splash Damage expressed that this decision was difficult and emphasized the supportive partnership they had with Hasbro during the game’s development. While the studio refrained from detailing the reasons behind the cancellation, they acknowledged the emotional impact of not being able to launch the game, stating that saying goodbye to colleagues is even more painful.

Following the announcement, initial gameplay footage emerged, showcasing some of what was developed prior to the cancellation.

Splash Damage, which is owned by Leyou (now under Tencent’s ownership), has a history of collaborating with notable partners such as Activision, Bethesda, and Warner Bros. Despite the setback with Transformers: Reactivate, the studio is moving forward with a new AAA open-world survival game currently codenamed Project Astrid, developed in collaboration with popular content creators including shroud and Sacriel.
