Super Mario is returning to home video with a new collectible edition of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, releasing on March 4, 2025. Exclusive to Walmart, the Limited Edition Steelbook is designed to mimic the iconic Question Block from the franchise. Currently, it is available for preorder at $28, reduced from its earlier price of $35.
This special steelbook edition includes slots for both the 4K Blu-ray and the standard Blu-ray discs of the film, as well as a digital copy that can be accessed via Movies Anywhere, allowing for seamless viewing across devices. The case features vibrant interior artwork showcasing the vast Mushroom Kingdom, enhancing its collectible appeal.
Walmart’s preorder policy guarantees that customers will pay the lowest price offered before the item’s release, meaning if you ordered it at the higher price, you will only be charged the lower $28 when the item ships.
In addition to the Limited Edition Steelbook, Walmart stocks the Power-Up Steelbook Edition, which originally released in 2023. Although it was priced around $28, it is currently listed at $41.63. This edition features a black design adorned with a Super Mushroom, along with similar content in terms of discs and digital versions but with unique artwork.
Both editions of the film include the same features, like behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews, due for release next week. The anticipation surrounding this collectible edition speaks to the ongoing popularity of the Mario franchise and its cinematic adaptations.
