Rare Discount on the Fortnite Festival Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller!

The PDP Riffmaster Wireless Guitar Controller, licensed for both PlayStation and Xbox/PC, is currently available at discounted prices on Amazon. The PS5 and PS4 version is priced at $114.71, down from its original $130, while the Xbox and PC edition is available for $119.

Launched in March to coincide with the Fortnite Festival, this controller is unique as it’s the only guitar controller officially licensed by PlayStation and Xbox. Although technically classified as a Rock Band 4 controller, it was updated to support various guitar controllers, enabling integration with Epic Games’ offerings.

The Riffmaster is designed primarily for right-handed players but can be adapted for left-handed users by reversing the neck. It features five upper and lower frets along with a D-pad and an analog stick on the back, providing versatile gaming options. It boasts a wireless range of 30 feet via a USB dongle, lasts up to 36 hours on a full charge, and comes equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack and shoulder strap.

Although it offers strong functionality for the PlayStation ecosystem, it wasn’t specifically designed for console compatibility, leading some users to find unofficial ways to run it on PC.

For those who play Fortnite Festival primarily on PC, choosing the Xbox version might be advantageous due to its integrated Xbox button for easy access to the Guide. Both models come in a stylish black and gray color scheme, are constructed from durable plastic, and have a collapsible design for easy storage and travel.

However, it’s worth noting that neither version works with the Nintendo Switch. Players seeking an alternative for Switch or PC can look into the CRKD Neo S Wireless Controller, which features a detachable five-fret module reminiscent of Guitar Hero accessories, priced at $60.
